This small statuette, which was in the artist's collection, features prominently in an oil painting titled La Statuette, Nature Morte [with W.M. Brady & Co., New York], which was exhibited in the Walter Gay exhibition at Galerie Jean Charpentier in Paris in 1923 (no. 53). It also appears in several other interiors by the artist, including The Yellow Room, rue de l'Université, formerly in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
